Armorik "Port Single Cask" Breton Single Malt Whisky

The Armorik distillery located in Lannion, Brittany has been making high quality liqueurs and spirits for over 100 years. In 1900, Leon Warenghem founded the distillery and created his first product, the Elixir d’Armorique, a distillate of 35 plants which won awards at international exhibitions in 1902. Since then, the distillery has created a small range of unusual fruit and plant based liqueurs, honey liqueurs, apple brandy, beers and whiskies.

This older limited edition bottling was distilled in 2008, and finished in a used Port cask. It was aged in cask for a total of 7 years. It is a beautiful, clean malt Whisky with some of the spice cake and dark plum aromas and flavors coming from that Port cask.
